Not even remotely close.

Why are the habs giving up picks when they are giving up multiple good assets AND tak8ng on campbell.

Getting bouchard for eating campbells full hit would be barely worth it and lavoie was waived a few weeks ago

Idk Bouchard is an elite RD albeit there are defensive issues. Would be perfect for Guhle

Getting a 60-70 point d-man for the next 12 years isn't worth it when a buyout for Campbell can be done in the offseason? The peak of the buyout is 3.8 million on Campbell (I believe) and it's for one year. You go through 1-2 years of annoying dead cap to gain a significant piece for the d-core.

and that cap hit on the buyout, even as minimal as it is, is not good for edmonton. they need as much cap as possible. i think both teams win here

Bouchard is 24 and has never broken 45 points dont give me this 60-70 point bull. And he straight up cant defend at 24 years old. Theres a reason why the oilers did t sign him long term this summer.

He wouldnt be in the habs top 4 by the time they are ready to contend we have better options

Yeah I will give you that bull, he's ppg game this year on a terrible Edmonton team and has looked phenomenal offensively for a while now. In the playoffs last year he was unstoppable and has carried that over to this year.

He would 1 million percent be the 3-4 guy in that Habs defence.

The reason they didn't sign him long term was cap space. End of story. Also sidenote about his defence Bouchard actually has the lowest xGA/60 of the Oilers blueliners.

Guhle reinbacher huston matheson and thats before you get to barron who looks as good as him at his age and konyushkov one of the best dmen in the khl, engstrom #1dman for sweeden at the wjc.

The habs dont need bouchard especially not to eat a 15+ million cap penalty.

Mailloux, Xhejak, Struble, Harris (even though he's being traded here). Habs are loaded on D. They have too many

Actually desharnis is better and thats not saying much goven the competition and the pretty heavily sheltered ozone deployment.
