    Oh come on!

Campbell is barely good enough for the AHL and you have Anderson in your top 6. They are not on the same level.

2 years retain at $1.6 million isn't cheap for a bribe, hence a 2nd and 4th Rd picks.

Yes, if any duo can re spark Anderson's talent, Draisaitl and Nuge can.

I'd love this site to impose a ban on all MTL-EDM trades tears of joy Not only do you place Anderson on the 2nd line but you also aggressively overpay for Allen.

So you want the Habs to send a mid Rd pick and give Allen away for free?

Is this how your mind works.

Check C. Brown and Gagner, hmm... yes Anderson plays ahead of them.

No but a 2nd and 4th should be fine guy is only worth a 3rd and then add a bit for retention hence the 2nd and 4th

Desperate times for desperate measures. Lol

I hope they make this trade and still miss the playoffs.

Also Bourgault has 1 goal in the Ahl, hardly a sure fire prospect.

I doubt the Habs would want to retain a full %50, so the 4th Rd pick would have to go to a 3rd team to take %25.

Maybe that explains my overpay on Allen.

Well, outcompeting a guy that's on the road back from a year-long ACL absence & Gagner is hardly an impressive feat. And even then, the margin by which he's outplayed Brown is tiny. He's been every bit the sinkhole that Brown has been. I'd rather the team just play out the year with Campbell in the AHL (1.65mil cap difference compared to having Anderson in the NHL), buy him out at year's end while giving Lavoie the chance in the top-6 rather than taking on the worse buyout. I grasp that you have more faith in a bounceback than I do, though.

    No, both have negative value.

Outside of intangibles and physicality, the movement from Foegele to Anderson doesnt net you alot of offense.

    Last 2.25 seasons:

    Anderson - 66 points in 159 games - 40G (about 20G per season)
    Foegele - 62 points in 169 games - 28G (about 14G per season)

Sure it is a small upgrade but is it worth 3 more years at about 3 million more? Then there are the injuries to consider.

The injuries might be key to the trade, LTIR Anderson, look at the Leafs and their 3 unwanted players who happen to manage to get onto LTIR.

But he would play on your 2nd line. But he has no value. But he would play with Draisaitl. But he's a cap dump.

    Logic. Of course.

Anderson will stay in Mtl. He is not on the boxscore but plays well. It is just a question of time before he removes the monkey on his sholders.
