Columbus easily declines. That wouldnt even get you peeke without retention.

Recent history sets ~$2.5M total retained at a 5th, so for $3.75M retained total it's at least a 4th. Given it locks up a retention slot for 3 years, that's got to be upgraded to at least a 3rd, maybe a late 2nd.

Unless you think Peeke has negative value (which...why would Toronto be taking on a cap dump, and why would Columbus be dumping cap?), this doesn't even get you the retained salary.

Peeke for a 4th this year with no retention. Otherwise jackets just hold onto him and wait for his price to go up with injuries around the league
