A draft and develop team like Winnipeg doesn't give up their high end prospects for players with less than 2 years of term left. Zero chance Winnipeg considers moving McGroarty in a deal like this.

No reason for Winnipeg to give up an NHL ready defenseman for a player that does nothing for them.

Kings wouldn't have any interest in Heinola. He is playing well in the minors but the Kings have a few guys on their list to come up from the AHL on the left side defense already so no need to add another guy to that list. If he played the right side however this might be different cause once Clarke comes up they wont have any candidates on the right side to come up.

Philly probably strongly considers that, would also be a great move for Winnipeg if they could extend both guys

Let’s say McGroarty and a second is the price for TK…where is the incentive to take back Schmidt and that contract? Let alone Walker retained… the third and Kupari? Philly has a ton of bottom six guys. I’d think long and hard on the TK trade though.
