Nope. Jackets easily decline. Take out Campbell and then they consider it.

Even if we're generous and assume that the first and Bourgault cover the cost of dumping Campbell (without Elvis coming back???), Foegele and a mixed bag of lottery tickets probably isn't fetching Laine.

Campbell is the ultimate contract anchor in the league, nobody is looking to bail EDM out unless it’s for a kings ransom.

Foegele and an unprotected first and second is a good start, but if you’re including Campbell you’re taking Elvis back. And that’s a much bigger conversation.

Also unlikely Columbus moves Laine while Jarmo is still in charge, or while Laine is playing the worst hockey of his life.

Sure, if you take out Laine then there may be enough to dump Campbell, but as others have mentioned the Jackets would need to send Elvis the other way. Personally I would rather just keep Elvis and trade Laine after he has recovered more value. Laine will be fine now that they have moved him back to wing.
