idk if the Preds do that as Sissons brings a vet presence on a young team and he can take physically tougher matchups.

Tanev won't cost that much, especially after the Zadorov return

Hawks decline. Campbell takes the equivalent of two 1st's to dump minimum. And the Oilers aren't getting anything back.

not happening from montreal, youre asking them to use the last retention spot and enter the next season with only one available retention spot, they cant do that and for sure not for this return

Allen is a UFA, that retention slot would open up again as soon as the offseason begins.

The general concensous in hockey media seems to be that the cost to dump campbell is a first rnd pick and prospect. Friedman and Marek just discussed it on their latest podcast. So remove the 2nd rnd pick and add a prospect of the Bhawks choice.

Maybe they dont retain, but Montreal is not getting anything more than this for a return on Allen. George Laraque just talked about it on Oilers Now and said Allen has little trade value because his cap hit is too high and he has term left.
