But will DeBrusk forecheck or will he be in Tocchet's doghouse too?

I mean, it probably isn't the worst risk to take for Vancouver if they really want to move on from Kuzmenko, but for Boston Kuzmenko would have another year left, and if he can't fit Boston's system, he might be a tough sell for them at that point. For the Canucks, if DeBrusk is average, they peddle him at the deadline, if he bursts out and fits the mold, maybe they work out a deal.

I think it won't be an issue getting into Boston's system look at past trades all of those guys easily fit right in with the system.

It is always possible, of course, but I think Sweeney and his staff would be watching how Kuzmenko is responding to Rick Tocchet .. basically, if he can't respond to Tocchet when Pettersson, Hughes et al. have, it could be a real question mark as to whether he would respond to Montgomery.

I always have to play both sides/devil's advocate.

DeBrusk is a better fit for Montgomery’s system than Kuzmenko. The reason Kuz is in Tocchet’s doghouse will be the same reason he will be in Montgomery’s.

I know you hate DeBrusk and think he is trash and a Bruin throw away - but I am guessing you really haven't watched him play much? Pretty sure this year he may be the leading forwards or top 2 (Bruins roster) for the PK and time on ice playing short handed. Usually players who cannot forecheck or are terrible in that regard don't play the PK frequently for their team.

JDB being in the dog house with Cassidy was more of a personality clash and coaching style, of which many Bruins in the exit interviews basically told the Bruins brass Cassidy had to go. Is there a chance he and Tocchet don't see eye to eye....sure but that can be said about a lot players in the NHL. I mean Suter basically lost half the Flames locker room in short order. It happens.

tocchet is just trying to get kuzmenko to change his game a bit and forecheck.kuzmenko is a goal scorer and im not moving him for debrusk,or retaining money.
