with Freddie Andersen still on the shelf, the canes are one injury away from jumping on this deal

The Vladar trade works for Calgary but that'd be selling incredibly low on Lindholm and Hanifin.



You probably could get Markstrom but not with retention (or not retention by Calgary anyhow). Wolf is untouchable unless someone offers something really crazy.

And it might be tough to find a team that isn't on Markstrom's no trade list who can afford him

No way CBJ give up a lottery pick just to sign a aging 30 year old Lindholm to eight years.

Yeah , it's a huge ask but every day that Laine and johnny are.... lacklustre makes it a possibility and the give up the pick in 26, if Johhy and Lindholm click " again" it won't hurt for a while

It won’t be a lottery pick in 2026, which is what this trade is for. Might not be 25th overall, but it won’t be lottery.
