Uhhhh why is Detroit getting a solid prospect and a 1st round pick for Lyon and Petry?

First off why?

Second off, they are rebuilding already. You shouldn't cancel your rebuild if you are the sharks because you have won a couple games. They need to continue on this path and get some more talented young stars. Maybe a top 3 pick in this years draft?

Lmao Ottawa gives a high end Dman for table scraps, and somehow also gives up a pick that's worth more than any of the pieces Ottawa gets back. Seems fair

the trade is more about getting better defensive depth with petry and getting a better goalie with a higher ceiling as well. lyon does that and he's doing good in the games he has played. i also needed to cap dump a little because even though i retained a lot from blackwood and rutta their contracts were still pretty big.

they're rebuild is failing and has been failing, this is just me having fun and making a very not competitive team competitive in the way i think would work.

i would not go as far to say a good depth center with nearly 1 mil retained and a young dman with a high ceiling and decently good offensive numbers table scraps. Not to mention the fact that Chychrun is not high end, he only has 4 more points than addison

Nope this is a joke and a troll post! Their rebuid is going just fine and this would destroy the team for the next 6-7 years! 1 st 3 trades we’re giving up a kings ransom for jokes and the 4th trade is laughed off by Ottawa

yeah, the blues definitely got the better end of the stick but on purpose. I needed to unload those contracts and get 2 good forwards to round out the bottom 6. All the picks were there to make it fair that they were picking up like 8mil from the contractstears of joy also getting vrana's horrendous contract with 1.1 mil retained was made it make a little bit more sense.

I'd have a hard time trading the 2nd round pick alone for that package from san jose
