All three trades decline.
Kuzmenko isn’t going to Montreal.
Anaheim isn’t willing to trade Trevor Zegras.
Jack Campbell as a Montreal Canadien is a big mistake.

Montreal said no to Edmonton trade.

Kuzmenko is interresting, but I don't like him.

Instead of give on Slaf, I'm rather to give that for Zegras :

2024 1st round pick (MTL) (If the pick is between the 5th and the 10th overall selection)
2025 1st round pick (MTL) (Top 10 protection)
Jordan Harris
2024 2nd round pick (COL)
2025 2nd round pick (PIT)

Zegras can really make 80-90 pts with his goodfriend Cole Caufield..............

Mtl isn’t in a position to trade any of their first round pick. Zegras is a flashy players, great highlight guys but man he can’t play without the puck and he is a turnover machine. This wouldn’t be a good move at all. If the price is right then yes. I would entertain the idea.

In this scenario the only buyout candidate would be Campbell. No point to buying out expiring deals. We're not moving Slaf either. Nobody will ever agree to the valuations no matter what so I won't even touch that.

Personally, something that I don't understand is why we always wants to have a full line-up of two-way players ??

We already have Suzuki, Dach, Newhook and maybe Slafkovsky who are all of them good on the two-sense on the ice. Why we want more of that ?? We don't need that !!!

But something that Montreal REALLY need right now, it is a offensive playmaker who can score goals, and Zegras is the perfect example of what type of player that we need to be better offensively. Our offense didn't score enough goals, but why once again another two-way players ???

We have a chance to be conpetitive in the next two years, and that's not come to drafting once again another ''projet'' that we will gonna wait 3-4 years before that he becomes good.....

Not talk about 2 way forward once buddy. I just said that he can’t play without the puck and he is a turnover machine. Zegras = Domi. You don’t need to be Patrice Bergeron, but there a certain standard that players must follow to have that winning culture. Until he prove me wrong Hugues ain’t giving up on high pick. Mtl is not near being a contender, i am not delusional. We are building something good starting in goal and on defense but offensively we don’t have that special talent that make team win Stanley cup. Habs just need to hit on Home run in the next 3 draft and they will have a chance to compete each year. Until you have that missing pieces i am pretty sure Hugues won’t go that way. Every single interview that they gave ( Gorton, Hugues) have always come to the same conclusion high end talent are acquired via draft.
