NSH has no reason to do this. We have better depth in Milwaukee than Grzelcyk so you can maybe get Jankowski for a pick but I think if Trotz wants to make a run for the playoffs he keeps Janko for depth.

SJ declines. That 2nd to 1st might only be moving up a couple spots in draft

Idk... I'm still in the camp of, if we aren't getting comparable value to a late 1st for him, we should just re-sign him for another season or two. Judging from his offensive production this season, so far, it doesn't look like we will be getting that. He may not be putting up a lot of points this season, but he does work on both the PK and PP for CHI, and we have seen that he is capable of putting up 20 goals a season. I think his offensive production is a reflection of being on a bad team. He is never going to be an offensive play driver, but playing with the right type of players, he is a great option and complimentary piece in the O-zone. If the 2nd were in 2024 or 25 I might be a little more enthusiastic about a return like this.

We know Kyle from Chicago isn't bashful about taking picks a couple years down the road. And I'm starting to think TRad's 20 goals last year might have been an outlier. He has had a LOT of prime scoring opportunities this year and hasn't been able to bury any of them. I think the opportunity to trade TRad for a 1st may have passed.

That's exactly what I meant by "Judging from his offensive production this season, so far, it doesn't look like we will be getting that." And I wasn't bluffing when I said "if we aren't getting comparable value to a late 1st for him, we should just re-sign him for another season or two." He isn't gonna command a big contract if he doesn't pick up the offense, he still does a lot of other things for us, and if nothing else he fills a hole for a couple years. If KD still wants to take it slow and easy with the rebuild, there is no reason to give up on him yet. But if he does want to make some big splashes next summer then, yeah sure, go ahead and move him for futures. Also, If he keeps this offensive slump up, no one is paying a 2nd for him either. In which case, all the more reason to just keep him and see if he can bounce back.
