Lol I don't know if a white flag or a medic badge will save you from Avs fans over that trade.

Mittelstadt is a 2c on pace for 70 points on an anemic Sabres offense, Byram isn't a Makar or Fox

MIddlestat is not a true 2c hes a decent middle 6 winger. Sabres should be looking to maximize their return for him but you aint getting Byram lol. Never said he was a Makar or Fox..

Based on what, I don't even remember the last time Mittelstadt played wing with a healthy roster. He's been their 2C for the last season and a half and that got him 60 points and on pace for 70

Most games I watch he coasts and is not a responsible center. To be a top 6 center you need to be strong on both sides of the puck, he barely chases a puck if theres a risk of a battle, don't get me started of he defensive lack of care. Wish he was more involved, but I have given up hope on that. Sabres moving him will be the best thing for the team to take anothet step forward.

So it's just ancedotal based on a handful or less games you watched, and its not even an accurate opinion. Mitts has been one of few players fighting and winning pucks battles, which is why he's scoring more than the rest of the Sabres forwards and has gotten better in the d zone. I wouldn't call him a pure 2 way center but I also wouldn't call many top 6 centers a 2 way center either.

I think this is a pretty fair offer. 60-70 point 2C for a top 4 dman, not a bad deal

Handful of games or less, lol, I dont miss many games, in person. I am a big Sabres fan. Yes it is an accurate opinion. He is oportunistic with his engagement. I wouldnt call him a center either, let alone a two way one. Its not a hate on C.M thing, but he is a piece they need to move on from to take a step forward. He is not a fit for the Avs system and is propped up by favorable deployment.

Sabres have No identity, I would be thinking Bigger. They need a Shakeup and a big one. In what Universe is Matt Ellis a PP coach. If you won't fire Granato atleast bring in some Assistants with experience. This Team Sucks right now and need better overall Leadership.

I would absolutely make mittelstadt available to upgrade a position of need. I would not make him available for a trade where the Sabres are just getting some stuff back. I would rather use the money he's going to get on his next contract for a different skill set. Having said that, the path of least resistance for adams will be to sign mittelstadt to an extension, so that's probably what happens.

Guy needs to start using his overabundance of Assets on players for the now. 3/4 of the decent to good prospects will probably never see the ice as a Sabre, time to use that to finish your puzzle. They don't have the needed parts to finish there team coming up through the pipeline. Adams needs to realize this.

I think the problem is that- the Sabres kept drafting bpa (their board), and they ended up with 5 undersized forwards with similar skill sets. Then he tried to make up for it by drafting size and defense after the first round, which is going to likely take longer, and those players probably have lower ceilings.

I think Adams is also scared the prospects will pan out and he'll be criticized if he moved one, especially if the trade doesn't work out

The Hawks don't have a 70 point, top 10 5v5 points 2c to trade away
