I doubt leafs do this just it’s a big contract and they need freedom next year with nylanders extension but it’s a great offer for sure

Petersson on the Flyers would be the perfect fit for what they need, but this is not nearly enough for him and with how Vancouver has been this year I see little chance he doesn’t extend long term.

I think it's decent. Nucks get a tough guy in Hathaway, Laughton is decent and Frost can be good if he played more. The 1st and 2nd are what they are. I could've added a bit more, but I think they get a few decent players/picks out of the trade

    Pettersson to the Flyers?
    No thanks.
That’s an easy pass for the Canucks.

Redid it, retained 50% of Risto's contract.

added N. Cates, I think that would be enough.

I'm saying this as a Flyers fan: EP is a top-20 player in hockey at this point and is under RFA control with his entire prime available to be locked up. He is genuinely a top-10 most valuable asset in the entire NHL and the package you're proposing doesn't have a single premium asset.

In the event that EP doesn't want to extend in Vancouver for whatever reason and the Flyers were to try and trade for him, the package would have to be *a lot* steeper. If we're being honestly realistic, the package probably starts with Cutter Gauthier

    1) I don't believe Pinto is eligible for an offer sheet. Even if he was, Ottawa is very likely matching that.
    2) I think that contract for Klingberg would be a big mistake for a rebuilding team. Leafs fans are happy to get cap relief with him on LTIR.
    3) Petterson will not be traded unless he forces his way out, which seems unlikely given how the team is doing this year. Even if he was traded its not nearly enough given every NHL team with some cap space would be bidding. Any offer for him needs to start with greater than or equal to the value of 4 1st round picks, since thats what Vancouver would get as offer sheet compensation, which I don't think your offer has. But it would likely take more than that.
    4) I honestly think there is positive value for Risto, especially with the cap limit going up next year. When he was traded to Philly there were several teams in the bidding war and he has improve since then. At 50% retention he absolutely has positive value.

If you wanted to make a competitive offer for Pettersson it would start with Michkov and/or Gauthier
