I wouldnt say never, but just not with their current contracts. Probably when they are in their mid 30's

What's going on with this team is right. You look at the roster and you would think this team is good to go and should challenge for the WC spots, but man...they are fragile. Is it as simple as bad goaltending??

No, Korpy has not looked that bad. Plus you have a stud like Soogard waiting in the wings for an opportunity. I think its poor systems

Far from neutral - Leafs fan here - but I thought SENs fans (& some media tbf) were simply overvaluing their players. The talent on the roster is bubble team at best, especially given the division; their mgmt tried to jumpstart their competitive window and it may have caused more harm than good. A lot of dudes (with very little track record) on big tickets - $ & term. Maybe Jacques can figure it out 🤷🏻

When I said Ottawa wasn’t going to be good, I didn’t mean last in the Atlantic

Hawks pass. I'm sure there will be similar if not better options in free agency. There's absolutely zero incentive for Chicago to do this.

Given the overhaul in the management this season, with GM and coach fired, and token-interim in place, and given their place in the standings this year (with two 1st round picks), I'm going full tank mode. I'm going for Celebrini or Eiserman.

If they finish bottom 3, I even try to trade Norris for a BIG return, even including another 1st round pick and more.

I solidly called them 7th or 6th in the Atlantic... And I still stand by that. Didn't see them being comfortably 8th

You're right, but that is a lot of excuses for a team that had high hopes. Big picture though...getting a guy like Celebrini or Eiserman would be best case scenario.
I saw some other posts about fans wanting to trade Chabot. Is this a real thing people want? has he been disappointing? I know he misses games due to injury but he's still a #1 Dman right?? I dont watch a lot of OTT games
