Good trade for both teams. The big question is just how much does Colorado like Byram, would they be willing to trade him?

If COL wants to compete for the cup they need center depth more than they need Byram. Worry the future later.

Don't be silly. Obviously Colorado would only pay that if they're getting both players either with an extension or with a pre-arranged agreement to sign one shortly after the trade goes down.

Easy no from Colorado. This is an overpay for a rental and Colorado couldn’t afford to re-sign both players. Meanwhile, Byram is a top 4 guy making <$4M

Forget the fact this makes them not cap compliant next year they couldn’t trade-sign both of them and then they don’t pick in the first round until 2026. Easy no.
