Description

Guessing Tarasenko costs a first but went with this offer for now for the sake of optimism. There are certainly ways to make this happen in the likely event this doesn't get it done. Certainly the second being so far out hurts.

Mack and Rants are great together, but I think it's time to spread it out. And putting Mikko at C leaves the hole at top 6 wing, which is much easier and less costly to fill. He's done it in the past, and the organization needs him to do it again.

I'm open to trying this, but it would have to be a pretty lengthy experiment before we actually do it. About a month

Not necessarily. The Eagles don't really use their young players on the PP, which hurts their point totals. I kinda hate it. But I don't think Ottawa should accept this, which I think I made at least somewhat clear in the description.

They should do it ASAP and give it every chance and then some. If it works, it's huge.

Bednar will never play Mikko at C exclusively when MacK is in the lineup, he’d rather run them out there 24 minutes together the combo is like crack for Bednar.

Maybe. But at some point you gotta ensure you have some balance. Long term, the Avs can find a 2C and move Rants back up. But in the next 2 years, it is looking really tough to do that. The cap just isn't there.
