Trades
1.
WPG
  1. Granlund, Mikael
Additional Details:
Maybe my favorite option as he has offensive upside term and low cost
SJS
    What would the cost be?
    2.
    WPG
    1. Monahan, Sean
    Additional Details:
2 way center that does have injury concerns and most likely cost more than granlund. Also a rental
    MTL
    3.
    WPG
    1. Novak, Thomas
    Additional Details:
Younger center that is unproven in playoffs rental but low cap hit
    NSH
    4.
    WPG
    1. Lindholm, Elias
    Additional Details:
Probably the best option in terms of impact but also largest cost as well as a rental
    CGY
    5.
    WPG
    1. Mittelstadt, Casey
    Additional Details:
Idk if he'd be available but he's doing really good rn and buffalo may be sellers. Ik he's young and probably not available but with savoie and kulich close to the nhl maybe they trade him?

    WPG
    1. Frost, Morgan

    1. Kuznetsov, Evgeny
    Additional Details:
May not waive and would need to be retained and probably the least realistic but eh another option

I'm all aboard moving Mitts, some Sabres fans need convincing, it's going to have to be for a player that helps Buffalo now though

Sharks ask could be the MTL 2nd but not sure that’s reasonable or not.

Monahan will only cost futures (1st + 3rd) if sending prospects Habs have no need for defensive prospects especially not LHD

Might as well keep him for next year if they don't get that kind of offer? Or, sharks can take back bad salary (schmidt?) to make it there?

Probably some emotions involved Granny has been a ton of fun this season

Monahan and Granlund should only cost a second, despite what Montreal fans say.
Lindholm would be the best, maybe he even extends with the commitment they gave to Scheifele and hellebuyck

A Lindholm extension would cost more in terms of assets and cap around the scheifele deal which is not ideal. Best case we get a 2c that stays for this year and next and one of lambert lucius or x player is ready for nhl minutes

Would mtl 2nd and schmidt for granlund make sense? Sjs may need some nhl dmen especially with the positivity he brings

Comes down to need and sharks need him, plus he’s signed next year. But as a seller if the price is right then you should always take it!

    Sabres fan here
The thing about Mitts is that he’s finally managed to stay healthy the last 1.5yrs, and bc of that we’ve seen him take a pretty big jump in his development
Pretty sure we sign him to a long term deal, as long as he doesn’t want too much

And you’re right, we are loaded at Center, & have more coming
But the cool thing (for us anyways) is that almost all of our Centers & Center prospects are also adept at playing on the wing
This includes Mitts (plays a lot of LW), Savoie (plays RW), and Kulich (also plays LW)

Now it is entirely possible that we could move a Center,
or more likely, a Center prospect….
but it would have to be in the “right” deal
Likely a top4 quality RD who is defensively oriented

Idk that it’s something we are actively looking to do though
So if u really want Mitts, the offer probably has to be “too good to refuse” for our GM to pull the trigger
I doubt he’s going anywhere though

if Habs can't get a 1st rounder for Monahan, they will just resign him

Okay then he's not an option for the jets he's not worth that to the jets in my eyes

    @Howie
    @AntiAnalytics
IMHO it would start with Barron.
If Management thought it would difficult to sign Casey along with either Savoie or Kulich were NHL ready, Casey MAY BE available.

    I agree
But i do think we want to sign Mitts. So unless he’s asking for a ton, i don’t see us moving him
