Description

Thinking specifically of guys on 1-year deals who may come cheap to make some cap space (or roster space) for deadline buyer….but still useful player that may help a young roster.

Dougie’s cap hit could be moved to LTIR….gives us $10m+ cap space.

(Or maybe better route is to sell cap space to restock the pick cupboard)

Very interesting concept! I think Kuzmenko could possibly be a casualty if Van is looking to make big adds at the TDL.

I don't Kuzmenko is the kind of person that the devils need to target... it's more like a Chris Tanev or a Jesper Fast type player

Both would likely sell for 100 cents on the dollar.

Would be looking for guys that are useful and a cheap cap casualty.

I agree the Kuzmenko would likely sell for like 1/2 or 1/4 price but it just seems like a waste of a roster space for somebody who seems like a carbon copy of a Tyler Toffoli... maybe the leafs might be willing to deal David Kämpf

Ugh Kuzmenko isn't getting traded, and he didn't ask for a trade.
Why would NJ have interest on Tyler Myers? Did someone put it as an idea?

While I would absolutely be okay with moving on from Brodie, it would have to be after a different player was brought in to replace him.

If NJ is in a playoff position, Forbort would likely be a better add from Boston over Gryz as a short term upgrade on Bahl for the playoff PK.
