This is really good. Only two things I would do differently:

1. Swap Catton and Silayev. Montreal doesn't need D prospects, they need more forwards if anything. Meanwhile, Calgary's biggest trade piece is Hanifin, so I think Silayev would help them out more than Catton.

2. I would say that Ottawa forfeits their pick and uses the Boston pick to draft a goalie. Yes, their best few drafts have been bad, but the team they have right now is still relatively young. But they don't have a consistent goalie, there's a couple goalies worth drafting in that pick range.

Are you suggesting that Ottawa would forfeit their pick at #6 this year?? I think there is almost no chance they do that when the Senators could do that in 2025 or 2026, when Ottawa should be much better in the standings and thus would only be giving up a much lower pick.

I agree with your comments about Montreal not needing a defenceman and probably going for the best forward available at whatever slot they pick at.

I like Zeev buium… but sharks are stacked at LD and have much bigger priorities like C, RW, and RD.
With Cayden Lindstrom is the best option at 3.

Solid mock, Sharkie!

I think each of these players get drafted in this range.

Could see Catton falling out of the top 10.

Calgary needs NHL defensemen for next season, drafting a defenseman now doesn't help that at all. Their absolute biggest need is a 1C post Lindholm trade. If Catton is available at their pick they should take him in a heartbeat.

There is no chance Ottawa forfeits a top 10 pick
