Description
Bruins will have tough decisions for this deadline for players like Grzy, DeBrusk, and Forbort.

All of these guys are on expiring contracts and if Bruins dont get the incline they will resign then they will need to look to get something in value before the deadline hits.

I think Grzy is most likely....With Lohrei playing the way he is playing, you really cant send him back to the AHL and when Forbort comes back I see Grzy being odd man out anyway.
Trades
SJS
  1. Grzelcyk, Matt
  2. 2026 4th round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Sharks got Kunin for a 3rd round pick this summer...think this would be solid trade value with hopes that they can get Grzy to resign in the offseason to give them a puck moving Dman that they need

Sharks actually traded for Kunin the year before this offseason. He was just injured most of the year. I think they'd be lucky to get a pick higher than a 5th right now.

And Sharks definitely won't want Grzelcyk. They have a TON of LD that are either already playing or will be in the NHL next year. Ferraro, Thrun, and Mukhamadullin are all preferred over Grzelcyk as puck moving D on that Left side. They'll also still have Vlasic, Pulli, and Knyzhov

Fair then a tanking team can take an expiring Grzy deal with a 4th round pick instead of a 5th?

Bs know how important having depth at D is, don't really see them trading Gryz unless there is an upgrade coming in another trade. Regardless, pretty poor package. Kunin stinks

With Lohrei playing the way he has been playing there isnt a way he gets sent down again...making the Bruins have to cut ties with Forbort or Grzy...wont be able to keep both bc of money (pretty sure)

No issue keeping Grz as the 7th D. Depth is always important and I’d rather play him than Mitchell
