Not sure if the Pens will move MP, but it's a solid offer. Pens counter with Graves instead of MP smile

I’d have to think if the devs wanted graves back he’d still be a devil, but who knows. I imagine they offered him something like 4 years x 4 mill

I really don't see the Pens moving Petterson and would be floored if he was traded in the division.

Chicago is doing so much heavy lifting in this trade, we need to be getting back a first.

Dickinson is worth a 2nd and a prospect at least.

Mrazek is worth a 2nd round pick at least.

We’re also doing you the favor of clearing 3,400,000 from your cap next season.

Also Chicago is so injured I can’t imagine we would trade guys without getting some roster filler.

Hawks are not doing that....they can likely get those type of picks straight up for those 2 without having to swallow another full year of a pretty bad goalie contract. At the very least, the Hawks can retain for a 1/4er of the remaining season at the deadline and get those picks. For the the framework of this deal to work, there will need to be a first on the table. Hawks already have TWELVE 2nd and 3rd round picks over the next 3 drafts so adding a couple more (and late one's at that) are not going to peak anyone's interest in Chicago.

Nobody is moving a 1st for Mrazek and Dickinson.

You can retain for this same offer if you like with no vanacek. But someone needs to play in net for you guys

No one is taking Vanacek for free either. I didn't even notice, the 2nd you include in the offer is the '25 which makes the proposal even less attractive.

That’s what the 3rd is for.

    2nd for both unretained.

    Not enough.

    Paying too much for Pettersson.

    Receiving too much for Toffoli.

BOS probably takes that. They seem eager to move Gryz.

ANA probably takes that for Henrique if they are ready to move him. Although, I suspect they will want to give him an extension.

So overall pretty even across the board? (There’s also room for retaining on toffoli)

With the assets I gave up I could pay for the assets I brought in?

Yeah. Certainly nothing egregiously off the rails on value. As far as targets go, i'm not sure this solves any problems for NJD. But, i'll defer to you for "what NJD needs" because I haven't watched a ton of them this year. I do know that getting rid of both Graves and Severson was a mistake. I know they aren't having the greatest seasons, but they are also playing in completely new systems with completely different teammates. They fit NJD, and NJD just dumped them for the young shiny new players, and it's probably gonna set them back a few years, when they were on the cusp just a season ago.
