I actually did call them crazy lol

TB doesn't do this because they're not nuking the farm any further considering Nashville already owns half the draft class as you mentioned and Chicago already has our first this year. Trading away the future one basically gives up all protection for it being a top ten since the condition wouldn't apply. Suicidal and brain dead move to make for a low impact player when the core is going through a rough stretch with injuries right now.

it would indeed be crazy... therefore.... 100% gonna happen?

Alright might not happen, but i still expect tampa to overpay for a player comes this years deadline.

As I said, given the current state of the roster with injuries right now and how we're on the outside looking in, nuking our best assets in future 1sts and 2nds when stars might hit UFA in 1-2 seasons time is a suicidal move, even for BriseBois to make.

I don't think overpayments will happen, if anything it'll be for mid to late round picks with guys like ABB and Koepke bundled for cap purposes. Need a 3LD and someone to fill a top nine role, but adding a player like Kurashev at a 2M caphit that requires a gargantuan ransom like that with the state of our team doesn't really do much for us.

I would be interested in Kurashev but at most, i would do next years 2nd and maybe a middle of the pack prospect like Powell or Fortier
