Trouba flings his elbow sky high, leaves his feet, and charges into his dirty hits.

Trouba knocks the wind out of people. He doesn't break a generational talent's jaw and ruin his rookie season by forcing him out for at least 2 months. Notice how NYR played Chicago the other night and nothing like that happened?

The level of hater delusion it takes to say Bedard is better than Jack is wild

Bedard is generational. If Bedard completely fails, his floor is Patrick Kane level. Yes, he's a lot better than JH. I would take Connor Bedard over Jack, Luke, and Quinn combined.

Jack Hughes currently is a top 5-6 player in the NHL at 22. He’s generational too. Except he’s much better right now

No he's not generational. That word gets abused. Generational is Gretzky, Crosby, McDavid, Bedard. You can be a franchise player without being generational. Hughes put up 21 points in 61 games as a rookie. Bedard already has 33 points in 39 games. It's not even close. You are actually a huge homer if you think that Hughes is anywhere close to Bedard-level. But you'll see in probably 2 years.

Jack Hughes is currently a much better player than Bedard. Bedard may surpass him. Hughes is playing on an actually competitive team. Bedard is playing on a tanking team. A Hughes injury is much more meaningful than a Bedard injury

No, he's actually not "much better". Jack Hughes is at 1.4 points per game and plays with high end talent. Bedard is at 0.8 points per game and is playing with absolute scrubs. They have the exact same number of goals. It's genuinely concerning that you think Hughes is anywhere near Bedard's level. Hughes is a good player. Bedard is a guy who could change the game forever. They're not the same.

Chicago just blocked NJ's number because Smith is a POS. Hope yall get swept in the 1st round.

What are you 5 yrs old? What, are we not gonna hit a player skating through the middle? Didn't leave his feet, didn't target the head, didn't finish the check like someone cross the Hudson does. It wasnt even the hit, it was CB's follow through from the hit that got him hurt. Grow up

Trouba couldn't catch CB I'm sure. We've all seen that before (15 secs in):

That’s nearly twice as many points per game. I guess Bedard is the best player in hockey then. Better than Matthews because he plays with Nylander and Marner, better than Jack because he plays with toffoli and Bratt, Drai and McDavid suck bc they play with eachother, Kucherov plays with point and Stamkos, MacKinnon plays with Rantanen.

You wouldn't be saying this if Jacob Trouba delivered the exact same hit to either Hughes brother. And Jack/Luke Hughes is no Connor Bedard. Chicago fans are right to be upset.

Dude what? Very similar situation to when Trouba hit Meier in the playoffs, except Meier didn’t break his jaw. That was a clean hit, meiers gotta keep his head up there, just like bedsy here. Only when Trouba jumps and leads with his elbow does it become a problem.

Jack is above Bedard.

A better player on a team actually trying to win games

Smith answered the bell, twice.

Hughes is not better than Bedard

He followed through the elbow targeting his head, watch the replay in slow motion....it was not a clean hit

Swap Bedard and Hughes on teams and watch the difference is the point. If you think Hughes on the Hawks is scoring 1.4ppg or even .8ppg you're sorely mistaken

Let's be clear, it's a problem when you lead with an elbow targeting the head regardless if the player leaves his skates or not

Jack Hughes would be above a PPG on any team in the league.

What Bedard is doing with very limited in help is impressive.

But let’s not get it twisted. Mediocre production with bad help does not equate to top 5 production with good help.

Holy delusional. Hughes is a top 6 player in the NHL.

Bedard is putting up decent production. If you want an actual debate it’s with Luke Hughes this year, not Jack or Quinn.
