I like the defense for the regular season (might need a better RD at the TDL) but the forwards need a couple of signings, way too reliant on the young guys

A RFA top 4 defenceman and a 1st for a guy on the wrong side of 30. Seattle would need to retain to get Lilly.

It's likely what they'll have to do. Rely on cheap depth next year. You can definitely build a better defence than this though. I'd look at what Roy will cost. He I think would be a solid addition and may come cheaper than Pesce and other available FA defence. Hanifin and Pesce likely will be the "prize" defence FA's and Forsling. Roy coming in at #5 FA defenceman could see a bit less than some of these guys are going to command.

Teams don't bring their 1st round picks up for the first season to play on the 4th line. Bert has to be re-signed and Brodie shouldn't be.

Ron Francis doesn't trade first round picks. Larsson won't be moved until his contract year, if moved at all, as he is the cornerstone of this defense.
