They are very very far from contending and rebuilds aren’t a linear development. I predict atleast 3 years before they start making noise as a playoff contender.

To answer your question, NO. Kyle from Chicago is on record starting the Hawks are not going "big game hunting" in free agency. They won't pursue Reinhart or Hanafin. They'll be looking exclusively at free agents they can sign to short term deals for over market money. Same as Foligno and Perry last off season.

No it didn't. It made perfect sense for the timeline of the rebuild. And, honestly, I'm pretty happy we have Nazar. Dach is a very good young player, but we'll be fine without him.

You don’t trade him. It’s like me saying today that Ottawa rebuilds and trades everything to tank for McKenna. You wouldn’t trade Norris right?In reality it doesn’t make sens to move him. happy he got out of that shi* house.
