From OTT stand point it all makes sense, but from LA why would they do this? Makes zero sense for LA.

cap casualty is the only thing i can think of. If clarke is ready too then maybe it’s time to move him

Ottawa has a 1% chance of making the playoffs. Adding Roy doesn't help this season. Maybe a trade at the draft.

The Kings are not trading Matt Roy. He's going to extend in LA before the trade deadline.
