Not really a real GM trading for Monahan would just put a GP condition on the 1st. Something like if SM plays more than 50% of the teams remaining regular season games the Habs get the 1st if not it drops to a 2nd it's called risk management

29 year old rental on pace for 50 ish points at a cap hit of less than 2 mil, who would slot in as the Bruins 2C. Yes most definitely a conditional 1st (conditional on SM playing 50% of the Bruins remaining games) + 3rd easily. Lehkonen got a young 1st round RHD + 2nd and Monahan is easily better than he is. It's also likely a really late 1st from the Bruins like 25th-32nd, so it's more like a 2nd anyway
