I'd still put good money down that Roy extends in LA. Blake had said during training camp that they intended to work on extensions for Roy and Arvidsson "after the holidays." Arvidsson's injuries might have thrown a wrench into his negotiations, but I think they still intend to keep Roy.

Brock Faber was the prospect that was supposed to make Roy expendable. Since he was traded, the Kings have zero defensive defenseman in the pipeline. Not a single one. They need Matt Roy.

But you have Doughty, Clarke and Spence

I think he re-ups with LA as well, But with Brandt Clarke coming up. It's not a forgone conclusion that Roy is back.

Spence is on his way out. Just like Clarke, he is an offense-first guy. The Kings only have room for one of them.

with the campbell experiment a total disaster, i dont think EDM would be dumb enough to trade anything significant for a G that has been below average for the last few years minus this year who is barely average. G are not worth remotly close to other position for that reason, they are to volatile, they can be vezina like one year and the next they crash like campbell

Teams pay 2nd rounders for rentals all the time, you don’t think they would consider some type of package to try and acquire him after the “Campbell disaster”
