One of Philly's young forwards would probably have to be involved

Zegras is extremely close with both York and Drysdale, I'd say save for Michkov (and Drysdale of course) that York is the least likely candidate in the organization to be involved in a move like this.

I think something like Tippet + Cates + FLA 2024 1st would be roughly the package I'd offer for Zegras, maybe even a tad more. Anaheim gets a little more rounded depth up front and another pick to work with this offseason (whether they use it or trade it IDK) and Philly gets a guy who is a great positional and cultural fit

Some Duck fans are going to come into this thread and write that Cam York, Travis Konecny, Tippett, Michkov, and Philadelphia's 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027 1st round picks aren't enough for Zegras....... any second now

What would you ask for a guy who will put up 80-100 points in his prime, and is 22 years old, cost controlled for two more years, and exits his current deal a RFA, and plays wing or center?

I wonder if Zegras brings in too much revenue to trade. Not sure how ticket and concession sales are for the Ducks, but I would have to assume Zegras jerseys and events are helping to pay the bills.

I think it's fair to say he's fairly undervalued at times but "100 points in his prime" is an enormous stretch. Down year or not the guy is now in his 3rd NHL season and is on pace for 30 points over 82 games...

What would you ask for a 70 - MAYBE 80pt player in his prime who will probably be moved to the wing because he is completely inept defensively**

Fixed it for you

Trade above is not fair but Zegras has a lot of kinks to iron out... Philly would have to add a young forward ideally

An Eichel-like return perhaps ?

Tippett
York
Whichever 2024 1st is lower between the Flyers and the Panthers
Ducks' 2025 2nd

What else is needed here exactly ?

I wouldn't even do this as Philly. Especially since Torts would run Zegras out of town - he's everything that he hates. Flashy, bad defensively, and cocky.

I also just don't think Z is worth all that

After returning from injury, he's on pace for 82 points in 82 games.

Pack it in for the week old friend, the Trolls are at the gates tonight, and they won't be satisfied until we give Z up for a 2nd and a B prospect.

5 points in 7 games (after getting hurt again tonight), you got me... \s

I'm willing to meet in the middle ground and say he's easily worth a 1st + young roster player + maybe even more, but Ducks fans acting like he's an elite talent is nuts

That's an entirely defensible position.
