Zegras

Created by: Campabee
Team: 2023-24 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 9, 2024
Published: Jan. 9, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Habs fans, Anaheim isn't taking scraps for Zegras so if we can all just stop with those ridiculous trades and get down to brass tacks that would be much appreciated.

Ducks fans, Habs aren't giving up Slaf, Reinbacher, Hutson, Guhle, Suzuki or Caufield. They are as untouchable as Carlsson is to the Ducks so if we can all just calm down and work out a realistic deal that would also be appreciated.

Now the way I see it the Ducks are gonna want a 1st in the 5-10 range (slightly higher than the 13th pick we gave up for Dach) and a good prospect with top 6/top 4 potential (Mesar, Farrell, Mailloux, Engstrom or Roy) . Either way it's gonna cost 2 very nice pieces for the Ducks to consider a trade
Trades
ANA
  1. Beck, Owen
  2. Engström, Adam [Reserve List]
  3. Farrell, Sean
  4. Kidney, Riley
  5. Konyushkov, Bogdan [Reserve List]

Choice of 1 prospect from the attached list, personally I think it would be one of Mesar, Mailloux, Farrell, Roy or Beck but I included the rest just to see who others might pick

The voice of reason.

I never thought I'd say that of you, and you probably never expected to hear it from me.

Thanks.

Nah we have had a lot of disagreements but there have also been a couple rare occasions where we did agree lol

EDIT*** Depending on which prospects you would want, I may even be convinced to send 2 of them + 1st for Zegras

Anaheim won't scrap Zegras. What will it be instead?

Read both ACGM description and trade description 2024 1st (assumed 7th OVA) + 1 or 2 of the listed prospects

Read ACGM description Guhle is untouchable, it has to be a trade that works from both sides not just one

Only thing that seems to make sense is our own 1st this year and the Calgary 1st. They have pretty much everything or soon will. Picks would keep their pipeline flowing and arrive to provide cap relief when it's needed.

I would think Mesar has more value to them than the 2025 1st since he has looked like he will become a top 6 forward, I could be wrong though lol

Wh have plenty of picks and prospects, we may as well use some to bring in top end talent. I know right now I have TZ-NS-CC on the top line with JS-SM-JA as our 2nd line but next season the top 6 would be TZ-NS-CC, AN-KD-JS

Pretty sure Anaheim Dcore is full anyway. It was the whole point of trading away Drysdale.
