When can we start to shake things

Created by: Rafa676

Initial Creation Date: Jan. 10, 2024

Description
Basically, a desperation ACGM, I mean, I'm from Portugal and I watch almost every game. When we play at home ice, the game ends between 2:30/3am in my time zone....and it's painful to see that this team can't make the next step

What does Ottawa provide in the devils trade?

Maybe if they retained on Gibson for us it would make sense

    Going Devils way, nothing.

We send Korpisalo and a 4th to Anaheim for Colin Miller and a 5th.

In general, I don't think it's a bad deal for the Devils, a 1st, Miller and Bastian for Gibson

Not seeing Anaheim or anyone retaining on Gibson for 4 years

Nowhere near Weegar, who's presumably not available.

So we are giving you Colin miller for absolutely nothing got it

Gibson at 6.4 mill is not something I’m paying a 1st for. Maybe if I also got to dump Korpisalo like you guys are doing here.

I get it but I already trade Chych to LA, that's why I didn't send Chabot to Calgary.

In that case, would the Flames accept Chabot, Brannstrom and a 4th for Weegar and Vladar?

There are a lot of bad ideas floating around I Sens land, but trading Chychrun is far and away the dumbest one. Easily the Sens best Dman this season. Imo He's part of the absolute core of this team. I love Chabot but if it comes down to him or Chychrun, it's not even a contest. One of them is younger, significantly better, and has actually been available to play all season.

Also I LOVE the idea of getting Weegar, but the Sens 1st is off limits imo. It's a top pick this year, and it's clear Ottawa doesn't have the high end talent they need to succeed. You definitely don't move ANOTHER top pick. If anything you .ove Chabot and they and peddle that return into Weegar

the kings trade is horrendously bad for OTT sending out a #1Dman and a top line RW for scraps, try Brent++ for Chych and ad on ++++ of quality for Bath

Wow…from Portugal…are there a lot of Hockey fans there?

Seems like reasonable trade for NJ…but would be an off-season deal likely. So no Miller. And I am probably higher on Gibson than most Devils fans.

I would prefer the Chabot/Weegar trade over the Chych trade every day. I just reposted because Chych might not want to resign if we keep like this..

Yes, in Portugal I don't know a single fan of Hockey, basically I can only discuss with you guys.

With Gibson I tried to provide a Goalie to NJD since I acknowledge that might be the biggest problem in your roster beside injuries

He's an Ottawa guy. His family is in the Ottawa Valley, it's where he wanted to be. Things aren't going well, but until it's actually being reported on, there's no reason to worry about him wanting out. Frankly I'd be more worried about Brady asking for a trade out tbh, it's kind of the family move.

Cool. I am glad you are here then.

You are correct on Devils needs.
    1. Health
    2. An extra defenseman in short term
    3. A goalie over long term
