Oh joy, nothing pieces and a stalled prospect, and a late pick, however could Verbeek say no?

Quite easily, actually. If Zegras was available for spare parts, he would have been traded over the summer.

AZ passes - rather keep top 4 23yo RFA D than take those two (and give picks) easy pass

If Anaheim is trading Zegras, they probably are looking to improve their team or their prospect pool by getting proven NHLers or adding a recently drafted prospect/young player that brings something that they don't have already.

Arizona isn't going to just gift J.J Moser and take on cap while doing it. If you thought that Moser was just a spare part in ARZ, that's not the case. He's playing the 3rd most minutes among their defensemen, only behind Durzi and Dumba (who probably isn't guaranteed to be kept around), and has the second most points, and is solid defensively (at least in previous years). I would be very surprised if they made him available.

There is likely nothing in the Islanders system that would interest the Ducks in a potential Zegras deal.
