You are right fans aren't GM's and neither are reporters. Monahan is currently the 42nd highest scoring center in the league. That literally makes him a 2nd line center on practically every team in the NHL. Top 6 centers have 1st round value, especially ones on sub 2 mil contracts, as I said before, maybe there is a condition attached to it on games played but the price is still a 1st + 3rd
