YIKES bad deal. no giving a first for pettersson. This is Dubas he will want MORE Than a just a first so in the pass.

So it’s logical to blow up a team that’s currently one point out of a playoff spot?

We have zero reason to trade him. He’s the best defender on the team.

Pettersson is very good. We’re getting 50% retention. It’s a fantastic deal. Gotta give to get

Edit saw its just for next year but I’d still do it I think

Canes pass. They aren’t going to pay a 1st and 2 2nds to take on Karlsson. They have Burns to fill the offense for the time being, with guys like Morrow and Nikishin in the pipeline that are coming soon.

It's next season and Pens need to start rebuilding. Malkin will be 38, Letang and Crosby - 37. Even if we make it to they playoff this year, we will loose 1:4 in the first round. I think it's time to stop burning draft picks and start building a new team. With making it's right 3-4 years will be enough. Malkin, Letang, and Crosby should start growing a new team.

Nikishin is great but he will stay in Russia at least till 2025, you need a player like EK67.

They made it very clear they aren’t doing a rebuild. The only way I can ownership change if is if this team crashes out and is out of the playoff hunt over the next 2 months.

I agree but I don't get why management does not see the obvious. The team is old and slow with a limited prospects list. Yager, Pickering, Murashov, Blomqvist,...maybe Pieniniemi and Ilyin. That's it. There will be no rebuilding without prospects.

Can you send Ned here first? He can always resign after the season is over! We gotta stop the bleeding here in Jersey!

And what does EK65 provide that isn’t already provided by either of Burns or Orlov? Burns is a big reason as to why the Canes have the 2nd best PP league wide, and Orlov has quietly been putting up points as well. If the Canes want to have a defensive pylon for next season, they will resign TDA. Canes were smart enough not to make the mistake of acquiring EK65 this offseason, why would that change this offseason?

Burns is still going strong... he can hold it down until Morrow and Alexander Nikishin are ready to take the mantle
