Just because he hasn't done it yet, doesn't mean he won't cave. Like most GM's, Tre goes with the TDL philosophy of letting his team's play on the ice dictate any potential moves. But we need to stop the cycle of giving up firsts for rentals. I don't buy into the "going for it" strategy just because Matthews is putting up a monster season. Too many holes to plug with not enough resources.

See what we can add with term or an extension, yes...but the heavy lifting should be done in the offseason.

I have a feeling hes eyeing every option to asses whose out there which makes sense and is what every GM does rn.

We have basically been linked to a lot of Dman but a few (Carrier, Pesce)

With Friedman's report Brad wants 2 players in a 1st round pick deal or a player with term I got a feeling hes eyeing something interesting

Pagnotta's rumour of Ferraro + Kunin seems to confirm it. But u also got Hanifin talks so maybe like Lindholm a sign and trade's in the works

Gonna be interesting. But at the same time hard to pinpoint

As before when we heard McCabe's didnt have us on that M-NTC and CHI was willing to ret I was like that guys a leaf lul.

Mentioned in other post but if we can walk out of this TDL with Andersson, Hanifin, Weegar, or Chycrun even Larsson heck even Tanev (at the cost of no 1sts) not bad

Larsson is my personal choice but why I get the feeling hes got us on that M-NTC lul

I don't know which would be funnier; Leafs losing to AZ in Knies' return game or the Leafs going 5-0 with Morgan Rielly suspend all 5 games

Pitt being in a firesale presents us with an interesting oppertunity

A reunion with Acciari and adding Smith + Petterson would be an intriguing TDL

Dont know how u make the cap work (besides flipping Bertuzzi to Pitt or a third team but yea I would be intrigued

Always had great goal scoring ability in the AHL. Glad he is gaining the confidence and opportunity in the NHL to do it!

Yea I dont think so lul. Hes gonna be on unit 2 once he comes back. Its like will JT stick to PP unit 2 for Bertuzzi maybe for a few games.

Will probs be for a few more till Rielly settles back in

Man I had worries and doubts about Lily recently. The past 10? Ish games have just been so solid from him. I think the elevated roles are doing him well with confidence, especially with Rielly gone and him having to step up

Those 2 pairs need to stay. We need to find a proper dpartner for Rielly and then run all 3 lines very similar minutes. Larsson is still my number one target.

They are good now but come playoffs vs. FLA or BOS heck maybe even TBL R3 idk

I feel u still try to maybe add two guys

Like against teams like ANA and ARI its fine. Heck they have done some interesting work against borderline teams like STL and PHI

But the big tests will be these next 3 games. VGK twice and AVS

If they do well vs. MacKinnon and or the VGK as a whole then maybe yea only one guy needed but it also feels still to risky

Man when they had that amazing first and went up 3-0 I had a sinking feeling and even the announcers did

This team just gets to comfortable with leads and tonight they be showing it again

Like wow this be a sloppy second period so far 2 goals in 1min 10 seconds for ARI

Good for Keefe though to call a time out

Why do the leafs struggle vs. ARI

Like seriously the **** was that sequence to let ARI get within 1 again

Were just shooting ourselves in the foot over and over

PK also allowing another PP goal. Add guys who can actually do a proper job

Also no more Benoit-Lily PK duo they no good

Now we know for sure that we can trust Brodie + Lily as a pair and Benoit and McCabe as a pair. I hope they don't break that up when Rielly comes back. Keep Lily on pp1 also for now.

Get either Tanev or Larsson as Rielly's partner and I am super happy.

Im waiting to see what happens next 3 before the praises. As thats the real test

U got the previous 2 cup winners and they aint easy.
