Been saying it for a while

Give him a Paul deal. To much term but less money

Rn I got 3.25m x 6 years

I’d like that deal. I think he would take that to stay here for the duration of his career, he’s made it clear he wants to stay here

Could see Domi taking that. I'd put him a but higher for a bit less though. Kerfoot-Bunting/marchment contract territory

Its gonna be interesting.

My argument to him would be we will give you long term stability on a team you want to be on and who your father played for but in order to field a competitive team we need you to take a bit less. As how many teams hes been on 6?.

But yea I might bump it to 3.5m x 6 years as u right shouldnt be making less than Kerfoot. But yea he for sure can be a 2c option if we move on from JT

If our top line just gets one goal. Anyone dont matter then every line scored this game

Will count Matthews or Marner PP goal

Feel the need to say that I am officially on team buy

I am on team Stand Pat, give the young guys a shot. Look at what Robertson, Holmberg, McMann, and Rifai have been capable of when given a legitimate shot. We've still got other youngsters like Steeves and Abruzzese who could come up and make an impact as well.

The Leafs have an abundance of solid young players who can contribute in a pinch, and it's time that we are finally seeing them make the jump to the show. Thank you Kyle Dubas!

I mean just go buy a RD to partner with Rielly no need to add forwards if the youngsters are stepping up. Adam Larsson would be nice

Like its not full on 2022-2023 TDL just go add a RD with term this TDL and keep Brodie-Liligren, Benoit-McCabe together

Topi Niemela could fill that spot with ease 💪

If Domi were to get extended, what would you hope/expect it to look like?

3.5m x 4 years is what I would do.

Topi is no where near ready for top pair minutes in the NHL. His lack of size also presents a problem

Hes a nice 2-way guy but this is someone u need patience with and who needs to get bigger.

Rielly needs help now not in 2 years. Let the kid stay down and develop

I would add more term as basically it would entice Domi to sign for that cap hit. As if it was 4 years probs would want 4m

I don't think we need much.
Funny enough given how the pairs have developed, I've come around on Tanev assuming we don't overpay. Whatever Brad has offered (2 3rds +) is fine.

Running some combo of Brodie-Lily, Benoit-McCabe, Mo-Tanev, Timmins, Goose, Lajoie, would be excellent

After that it's really just a small targeted forward Depth add.

Aka we can keep the 1st

I feel like Warren Foegele would be a sneaky good addition to this team's bottom 6

I don't love the idea of signing a middle of the roster guy for more than 4 years. I am nothing like Lou Lam haha. I would actually prefer 4 x 4 than the 3.25m x 6 years. 6 years brings him until he is 34. Too long.

Not sure why Edmonton would trade him though.

Domi has shown he can fill in the 2c spot nicely

I like him there and if JT leaves or we move on hes a nice replacement. Its basically like what VGK has done where they got so many guys who can rotate at 2c center

Roy, Karlsson, Stephenson, Eichel, etc.

Tanev (retained AND extended 2 years x 3.5m) + 3rd round pick for 1st round pick?

Would you do it?

FA 2024 could be worth a shot

Would be funny as Foegele-Kampf-Jarnkrok would feel like Engvall-Kampf-Mikheyev lul

But yea I really doubt EDM moves unless they upgrading. Kind of like what FLA did when they moved Vatrano to add Giroux

All depends on what Edmonton wants to add at the TDL, they'd probably be willing to shed him for cap space

I don't think he's really that sneaky... has had great advanced numbers for quite some time now and is putting it all together at the best rate of his career right now

Foegele is 6th on Edmonton in terms of forwards in points. He has 29 points in 53 games. His cap hit is 2.75m. He is providing solid value for his cap. There would be very few trades in my mind, where moving him would actually benefit Edmonton. Time will tell though!

So I have been talking with some VAN fans and they think he came back to soon. As he was good before it then came back and has been in a slump

As he suffered an injury to his ACL
