If Lindholm has agreed to extend in Winnipeg at a reasonable dollar and term it's possible. If he's coming as a rental, Lambert won't be involved.

Personally, Lambert isn’t being moved, so it would have to be Lucius

Lambert isnt being moved even if Lindholm extends. I would do Lucius and the picks for a rental, though.

If it ends up being Lucius - the picks will change to a 1st - minimum

If the Leafs are smart they would just wait and sign Tanev as a UFA if thats the price.

Eh, if this turns out to be the case I could see Lucius and a 1st for Lindholm and like a 3rd or something. Works for both sides I think. Jets dont really "need" lucius as both Lambert and McGroarty have passed him in our internal depth chart, so he's the guy I'm trading to swing for it this year if i'm the Jets. Lucius and a 1st for a guy like lindholm who isnt having a *great* season is a *lot* considering that over the past few years, rentals have not really had the kind of huge returns we used to see.

I would like Lambert but not getting a 1st in a Lindholm deal is a huge fail. I don't think Lambert is a good enough prospect to warrant not getting a 1st. Byram sure, not Lambert.

I agree with that, especially since WIN are genuinely cup favorites at this point in the year, and have decent depth scoring meaning Lambert might not make the roster for a little. I think Lambert + WIN first for Lindy with retention and a potential extension in place is about right.

WIN adds a top penalty killer and arguably the second best second line center in the league behind Draisaitl to bolster up for a deep playoff run, and and the Flames get that middling A prospect with a late first. (If the first is too much throw conditioning on it.)

Flames will sign him before then. That’s if he doesn’t get traded to a different team first.

Lambert will be with the Jets next year 100%. He's literally on track to be the next Scheifele, and we won't be trading him.

That’s cool, just don’t expect Lindy then.

Please don’t listen to the other leafs fan, leafs accept, now that might be his true value but it’ll take an overpayment for the flames to deal with brad so I would adjust it like this, add timmins cause we’d have to if he’s coming unretained and add Abruzzese, the flames 5th and Vancouver 5th as the “Brad tax”
