Interesting trade, but I think Caps are committed to Strome. And while Byram has a lot of potential, his injury history is a bit worrisome.

Strome isn’t the answer for COL at 2c there is a reason he has bounced around the league and it begins with his skating.

This is maybe the only type of package for Strome I think they would really consider but I think at the end of the day they probably say no -- need someone to play with Ovi and get him as close to 99 as possible. If Byram was basically himself but a forward, I think they'd do it. Really intriguing idea though and Strome would be a perfect 2c for COL

Kudos for an interesting proposal, but in the end I think both teams say no for the various reasons mentioned already.
