If Nash are not planning on re-signing Novak they acquire good a decent prospect signed cheap for another year. All he needs is an opportunity to play decent minutes,

He's also older and a rental and the Jets have only seen a handful of games of Kupari due to injury.

There's just no reason for Winnipeg to upset the chemistry of a team that is playing well to add a rental that isn't a difference maker.

If you want to move him for a low pick maybe the Jets look at him for depth, but other than that there's no reason to do it.

Swapping one depth player for a different depth player isn't "adding depth" it's keeping the same depth.

That's why I said, if you want a pick the Jets might consider it for extra depth.

A pick is a prospect and future depth , does nothing to help the team now.

Then the teams aren't good trading partners. If Nashville isn't selling and Winnipeg isn't selling, there's no trade to be made at this point.
