Is this Petey pricing himself out of Van, or unwilling to sign? Either way, throw a top 5/8 protection (every first seems to come with that, although I assume you are making an off-season deal?) and I’m game.

As a Sabre fan it's great trade but it's a dumb trade for Van - give away Kuzmenko and pay Pete the 12 mil he's worth

If minten is dealt (unlikely) it’ll be in a package for a 1RD with term. Not saying minten is impossible to trade for but the leafs have some problems on D to say the least

Makes no sense for Vancouver imo unless Pettersson requests a trade or doesn't want to sign an extension. But even then I'd want a bit more. Cozens could become a 1C but I wouldn't say it's a lock, so maybe upgrade Ostlund to someone like Kulich or Quinn or something and it could be closer to fair value

leafs accept.... im a leafs fan and all but i dont think they arent giving up enough in that trade, add a third and another prospect to it on the leafs side and its closer to fair
