While I don’t want Chychrun and think he’s overrated, this would be hard to turn down

A realistic trade would be :

Pick 15-20
Lucius
2nd or 3rd

Problem is your 1st is likely 28-32 , that decreases the value of it significantly

Too much, he's only signed for one more year.

24 1st
24 2nd (Habs)
Lucius

For Chychrun half retained is a fair offer for both sides. I would also see if the Sens are somewhat interested in taking Iafallo back so the Jets have space to make another move.

I also wonder if the Jets make it a bigger trade and also bring in Tarasenko.

Ottawa paid a 1st and 2 2nds for him and he hasn't done anything to increase that.

Fair. But what is Lucius' value at this point?

It is more than they paid but if this is what it takes I am willing to do it.

Agree on Lucius. He's probably a 2nd in value.

I would pay that if Chycrun was an RHD, but with him being an LHD, being bad on the right side and only having 1 year left after this one and seemingly a diva, I'd say no.

With the Jets having one of the best defenses in the league it doesn't make sense to pay that much to try and drive a square peg into a round hole and risk the chemistry the Jets have.

Probably right value for Pinto, but Anaheim has no need for more centers, we have internal options.

That’s not the right value for Pinto. That’s like pick 60 in this draft and a possible 12/13th forward. Pinto is similar to Newhook

Yup, that’s exactly what we need to add to the LHD we don’t need… an LHW we don’t need… this is how to waste assets and cap space 101
