Ducks can get much more for Vatrano than this, and if for some crazy reason they couldn’t, they just wouldn’t trade him. This isn’t worth it all for ANA

I think the blues would ask for wallinder but I’d be content with Brzusrewiz if there was a better prospect than Mcdonaugh and a like a 3rd added

Ducks will want at least a 1st in return for Vatrano, especially to a division rival,

Klimovich? What kind of upgrade on McDonaugh would you want?

St. Louis aren’t buying in on the first trade.
Caps don’t have interest in Mikheyev.
I can see Anaheim keeping Vatrano rather than trading him.

Swapping out Mikheyev for Vatrano feels like a lateral move. Their production on a 3 year average is pretty simmilar and they are both complimentary wingers. Mikheyev speed and two way game has proven valuable in Canucks top six that I think it would be missed.

I also think Kuzmenko is slightly undervalued here. Id offer Kuz, McDonaugh and a 2nd or look elsewhere.

Buchnevich deal not enough your getting for 2 years at 5.8 he isn’t expiring. It’s gonna take at least a 1st (Which is gonna be really late cuz the bucks are good) and a top defensive prospect which is a major need for the blues so Wallinder as the base of the trade.
