Marner isn't of any value to us. Another UFA to trade away? No one wants to sign here, so Weegar is of more use to us, and CGY shouldn't give out another 10+ mill contract. Just doesn't make sense for the cap structure

Forgetting about the massive mess this would do to the leafs cap if they want to keep even one of tanev or lindholm, but that is way to much to give up for two not even very good one way offensive 3rd line forwards from the habs, especially with anderson still costing too much with the retention

Ottawa passes big time on that trade. At the deadline alone they will be offered more than that. L.A. Would really load up and they have their 1st rounder which would be higher, and better prospects to move than Toronto does. Toronto would have to really step up their ante.
