I think they should be in on Jake they don’t need another center a winger could really help

I havent heard much about Monahan to the Canucks but I would be happy with it. Canucks are my second favourite team and he would fit perfectly as either the 2nd line center (keep the lotto line together) or as a middle 6 scoring winger

It feels like Van will need to make a move sooner than later. Monahan would be a good add. Hopefully he can stay healthy.

His hip problem is fixed. Last year he got unlucky when he blocked a shot (can happen to anyone) and got back two early and aggravated his foot. So far, he's been real good for our team and seems solid.

Hes played every single game this year with big minutes. I'd be less worried at 29 years of age and hes missed a lot of time in the last 3 years which means his body has been able to recuperate much like Gary Roberts that retired at 30 and came back with a venegance. He's not a physical player but a very smart player with an active stick. To me he's the type of add that is a perfect compliment to elite talent.

He plays with plugs at 5on5 yet his producing not just points but fantastic relative metrics. 13th in stick checks in the defensive zone, best winning faceoffs % on the pk in the league, he does so many little things so well and that go unnoticed because he isnt a speedster but know more as the meme, BORING SEAN MONAHAN

I still dont move Monahan unless its 1st round pick plus. Pageau, Statsny, Copp all got more return than this and Monahan is more affordable with a bigger market share. The scarcity dynamic is also crazy this year when Lindholm price is so huge and Monahan has outperformed him statistically.

I believe that he is worth a 2nd, but because the Canucks don't have 2024 2nd, I've improved the offer to a 1st, but need something else coming back. I might be convinced to take Montreal's 2025 4th instead.

I dont think youre getting Monahan with added picks or prospect for a late 1st. This draft is pretty weak. After about 21-22 picks, its darts at a board from the CSS. At best that pick will be around 25ish if the Canucks lost in the first two rounds.

Monahan will go for a 1st plus. Truth be told, I rather they get 2 2nds that they can flip for someone in the offseason. they have 22 picks in the next two drafts another late pick around 25 doesnt do them much unless used as leverage in asset management.

I think Hughes will target a prospect and a 2nd. Otherwise, I hope they resign him. He's just way too good at everything.
