I’d offer a 2nd and a prospect like Klimovich/McDonough max. If we’re trading a 1st it should be as part of a package for a high end rental (like Guentzel) or a player with term (like Buchnevich or JEE)

like.. more than a top 6 center who is great at draws at almost no cap hit?

Guentzel will probably cost you next years first as well..

I think a 1st and a combination of 2 of Podkolzin, Kuzmenko, Hoglander, Raty, Brzustewicz, and a 2nd could get it done. Maybe add in one other piece on top

Won’t get him for that. He’s the 2nd best centre on the market. There will probably be 10 teams trying to get him, crating a bidding war. We’re definitely getting a 1st, wouldn’t be surprised if we end up getting a little more than that.

You can get a first, I just wouldn’t do it. Just my thoughts and based off previous trade deadlines. That’s all.

Based on previous deadlines he definitely gets a 1st. Players like him always do. Seravelli had an article yesterday about it showing you the other similar players who went for a 1st plus. I get you wouldn’t do it, but your GM would.

Canucks decline. Paying way to much for who would essentially be our 3rd line center (thirst line and lotto line being the top 6)

He's not getting that much return from Vancouver. There is far more better options. He's not a second line center for us. He'd be a good 3rd liner.

There actually isn’t better options. The only better option is Lindholm and Monahan actually has more points than him with way (and I mean way) worse linemates. Lindholm will go for more because of his predigree, but those are really the only 2 quality centres available unless im forgetting someone.

Lindholm is better regardless. The Flames system is not about scoring goals. 9 out of 10 people take Lindholm, the 10th person is a Habs fan thinking Mony is the second coming.

Like I said, there aren’t many options. There will be probably 10 teams in a bidding war for Monahan once someone lands Lindholm.
