Team: 2023-24 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 24, 2024
Published: Jan. 24, 2024
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Here's my best take on this trade. A lot for the Canucks to give up, by my god is this team stacked. It even fits with Soucy off LTIR, and if they can waive Juulsen or Aman after the trade dealine then very likely they go unclaimed.

Can't make conditions based on a player resigning anymore. Also Flames aren't going to add a cup winning condition, it's either conditional on the Canucks making the WCF or making the SCF but definitely not on them winning the cup.

montreal only have one retention spot left, I don't see us doing a trade like that when we probably have to retain on Pearson or Allen to move them

Are you gonna say why? Or...

    Possibly Two 1st Round Picks, Guaranteed 1 + a 3rd.
    Middle 6 Center Prospect
Top 4 D prospect (Who leads the entire OHL in Scoring)

Its actually not a bad return at all, plus youre taking assets from a Divisional rival who very likely cannot re-sign what you are trading them.

Because trading them individually nets a better return than that.

I think your trade is fair. Folks sometimes consider Lindholm a 40 goal scorer, which he really isn't without very talented wingers. If we value Tanev = Brzustewicz, then Lindholm = Raty, 1st, 3rd. The return for Lindholm here is arguably better than what Vancouver got for Horvat, considering Beauvillier netted a 5th.
