I have to imagine the Caps won't retain money on TvR for the next 3 years, especially when it's such a measly amount. Would think it would make more sense for Washington to take Reaves back to work the cap for Toronto and then tell him to take a 2 month vacation in South Carolina. Also think they'd be looking for a 2nd for TvR.

What part of Timmins would Calgary be interested in? Guy was just traded for Curtis Douglas, had 14 good games last season and now he's a major piece in a deadline acquisition? He's not very good..

Both teams decline but if you dropped the retention on TVR the trade goes through and get tanev half retained if you supply enough to do that

Toronto should trade Timmins and a first round pick to CGY in exchange for Chris Tanev (CGY retains $1,500,000).
