The Leafs would be stupid to decline this trade. This trade gives the Leafs 3 things, A top 2 D man, Cap Relief and 2 young assets (Necas and the 1st). Use that 1st for Tanev and theres a slight diminishing of the top 6 (already a stupidly strong one) but a HUGE improvement in the D core, the one spot the Leafs seem to never want to fix.

The Leafs trade would need to be done in the offseason. As for the Wild trade, if the Wild are dumb enough to consider trading Ek, I think the Canes will be all over that, but they aren’t going to move KK in that case.

Svech is an untouchable for us. You'd have to seriously overpay to grab him.

Marner ain’t waiving the team will be fine and they’ll resign him, we can afford to sign Roy in the offseason for free no need for overrated pesce

things the wild cannot/shouldn't do. Trade their best center maybe ever? for a lesser center and some decent pieces. even if those two picks were 1st rounders i wouldn't trade ekker.

comparing Knies to Svech at this point is grounds to mental commitment.
