I thought the Benoit/Timmins pairing was pretty good against the Jets last night, Timmins looks decent, I'd keep him around.

    Seattle isn't doing that.

Timmins is too slow foot and gets burned too much.

I’d happily give Seattle more for Bogren l.

Peeke will be like Benoit once he’s traded.

    I’m certain of it

Not a chance tat Brodie fetches a 2nd and a 5th. Tor would likely have to add a pick to unload that cap hit.

If peeke is like benoit once he's traded then he'll be a near 3 million dollar 6th defender with term. That isnt a good thing

I don't think there is a single scenario where Seattle moves Borgen or Larsson in the next two years unless it's a severe overpay.

I retained 40% of his cap on that trade lmao.

Brodie for 3 million teams would jump at for a 2nd and 5th

I guarantee you didn’t watch a single one of Benoit games before he was a leaf and automatically taught he was a terrible defender.

Defensive minded dman on dreadful teams will never have good analytics. That’s why you have to see the what competition they’re facing plus the role they play. Peeke is gonna be a great defensive dman the second he’s traded

I can see that, very likely they hold onto him but I think they’ll trade some guys cause they have rookies coming into the scene soon

Not on defense. It's really just Evans, who has looked like a rookie this season, Maybe Ottavainen in a couple of years. But Nelson, Dragicevic, and Jugnauth are all probably in the 3-5 year range depending on skill jumps.

Lol, no they dont. Good defensive minded guys put up good numbers, bad ones put up bad numbers.
The guy you are literally using as an example in benoit put up good numbers two seasons ago as a bottom pairing guy and then when they used him in the top 4, ie above his skill set he put up abysmal numbers.
That means he's a bottom pairing guy.
Peeke put up good numbers on a bad team in a short run too, but now that he's so bad Columbus is healthy scratching him it's because he's on a bad team? Yeah, sounds like you just want him to be good and are ignoring everything that is against that.
Dont forget to misquote me on twitter in your likes circle jerk

i will continue to quote this extremely accurate assessment of andrew peeke's game:

Andrew Peeke makes getting pulled out of position look like an Olympic sport that he's extremely dedicated to winning gold in.

Not even close.... Not even if you retain 50% of Brodie's salary are you getting two draft picks, especially a 2nd. I still maintain the Leafs are going to have to give up a draft pick to get rid of even 50%of his salary at the deadline. Think? The Leafs are calling teams regarding help to their blueline.... Why on earth would someone give up anything to a team that is looking to trade a defenseman and still looking for defensive help??? Especially considering he is one of the better defensive defenseman on the team that doesn't defend very well. Everyone knows why the Leafs would want to get rid of Brodie and his cap hit. No one is going to give you anything for that.
