ANA pov: drop the picks and make it Holtz, reduce the Gibby retention slightly ($1.4-$1.8M)

Problem with this trade offer being, IF NJ succeeds after getting the infusion that Gibson offers, and they make the ECF, Anaheim gets punished by having the pick pushed to 2025.

That's not going to fly for us, so we need a premier piece coming back for Gibson retained down to what other goalies in the league make. That piece is Holtz.

Yea, same feeling. I'm trying to find a happy medium. Gritsyuk is a stud,but he may not be joining the team for awhile, say it's an inherent risk with any Russian player .

MacKinnon is supposedly in regular contract with him and said in off-season that he will be in KHL for another year or two. And Gritsyuks agent did say that Arseni had the option to come over last summer, but that may have been posturing to get out of his old team (SKA acquired him via offer-sheet…and agent was publicly threatening he would leave KHL before returning to Avangard). He is signed for 2 years, but NJD could buy his deal out (they don’t have to, but could). I think we see him at end of next season.
